There's no such thing like a silly question. There are just silly answers.

Is there a BASIC thing with FS02/04 you want to know more about? Tell me, and I see if I could help.

Note: AI-Traffic, AFCAD and related things are NOT basic but advanced topics! We have an own forum for this where you can get any information you might need.

The Rhythmosaur

PS: If you really got a problem with outing yourself as a beginner, drop me a pm for your desired Do it yourself guide Wink .

As this is an issue I just promised to another mate to in this forum, I'll soon publish it.

In the mean time, please make some work in preparation:

1. Go to the official MS FS2004 page. You can use the link at SurClaro Homepage, left column.

2. Go to the SDK section (Software developer's kit).
3. Load down FSEdit. IT IS FREE.
4. Note that there is another file YOU NEED TO LOAD DOWN there in order to make SDK's work. Again this is free and you also get it there. All you have to do is read the text to get to know wich file I mean.

Untill then,

The Rhythmosaur

PS: Welcome aboard!

As a complete newcomer to FS of any discription. Could you point me in the right direction, to find a glossary of both Terminology and, more importantly, the INITIALS frequently used....thanks.

OPen your flight simulator. Click on the left side on the Learning Center link. Everything you ever wanted to know is there. Well, most of the things you want to know. Well.... ok...about anything you ever wanted to know about flight simulator is there. Cool

If you can't find help you need there, then come back and ask. We'll be even more happy to help as we know you did some work yourself first.

(hope that answer is ok Rhyth...didn't know if you were only one answering in this area or any of us could... if you only, sorry, just delete this. You can even steal it and put your name on it. hehe)

Maybe a good topic would be how to get the optimal performance out of FS. My computer "gags" now and then as if it is struggling to keep up, despite there being 81% hard disk space free and plenty of video memory available.

Note that we have a complete forum section for it, and one for Hardware in general.

It's actually quite simple to pass that one. Ok, here is the way:

- Take off.
- Shoot the Beahtch soon as she opens her mouth.
- Before she dies, have her sign your log book by telling her it's the release for you to get her to the hospital.
- Dump her over the nearest lake
- Land and enjoy your new certificate.

hehe

Dude, she is on some serious dope. It took me 5 times to get it exactly right, and like you, I knew a couple times I did it exactly as she demanded.

Good luck!

- Greg

hi im completely new here though ive been using surclaro.com for years now in downloading extras. i have a few "newbie" questions. Firstly ive read on FS forums a lot about approaches and i must say im LOST! i hear a lot about FL400 and decent rates and stuff. Ive tried many times with an ILS approach and when i use the APP button the plane is not lined up correctly as in it sends me offline from the runway so i have to adjust i thought the APP lines u correctly??? anyway this is my main failing in FS im really struggling landing jets getting the combination of heading, speed and decent rates is all a big headache can someone give me "HOW TO LAND FOR DUMMIES"

Hi. and welcome aboard.

I'm proud to tell you we got (almost) everything you need here:

First of all, check out the Learning center of your Flight Simulator. Done this, I highly recommend our Lesson- and our Basics section. In the Lesson section, you will find an excellent Do it yourself guide on landing by Insured Disaster (if I remember correctly).

Third step: Keep our Flight University in eye coming up thanks to SpectroPro and Co.

For any remaining questions we will be there for you.

Cheers,

The Rhythmosaur

First time here, but for some reason, nothing works. I appear to be logged on but I can't start a new thread it says. I can't download, says I must be logged on. When I try logging on again message says incorrect name or password. I've went through the FAQ's for trouble logging in...says when all fails contact board administrator...it won't let me...Please help...i'm lost now.
Thanks Bill
