Here's your answers:
1. Yes, and many still coming.
2. Yes
3. With the deluxe version you get the SDK's, additional a/c, additional cities and airports, not found on the normal.
4. You should be fine with 3/4 setttings, probably a bit higher. But maxing it out, it might be over doing your FPS.
No problem.

1: Yes, and more are comming every day
2: Most of em do. But many of the most advanced planes like PMDG etc don't. But that dosn't count for all of em, many are also making some patches so that the planes work in FSX.
3: Listen to RD
4: I wouldn't think so. Do you have dual core? |

I am running a Dell w/160 gig HD, 1 gig of RAM and dual core processors and FSX runs fine on it. Your system is twice what mine is so you should have no problems with it running slow. It can be a little slow if I overwhelm it but for the most part ... I have no real gripes about it.
I have found several add-ons for FSX and most are pretty good so far.
I started out with the reg. version of FSX and moved-up to the deluxe version. I do not completely understand the SDK's but there are a few more aircraft included with the deluxe version, supposedly an active ground crew at airports (I have yet to see them), improved GFX, yada, yada, yada.
The price difference between the two is about $25 and to be honest, I am not sure it is worth it. You can download most of the stuff that the deluxe version has here, have pretty much the same sim and save yourself the extra $$$. But, that is a personal call. Depends on what you want to do with it.

Hey, give the poor guy a break. At least he kept it all in the right category. Nothing bugs me more than to be checking out questions about FS in the hardware section or worse.....I'd accept even the dumbest or most outlandish question if it were in the right category. So, post on, you mortal members of highly unoccupied species known as humans.......
