I read an article in today's Toronto Star business section speculating on AMD's possibilities of purchasing ATI. The same article mentioned that Intel wouldn't benefit by taking over a graphics company but that it would work well with AMD's future direction. I thought it was kind of interesting.

Hmmmm,

Is ATI in financial woes?? Could be. Hope so. Then AMD could delete the whole program and deal with Nvidia as co-proprieters on the gaming/sim market.

Oh yeah if Amd merged with Nvidia there would be no stopping them althought they might have there work cut out for them to beat the intel conroe.

One thing I can say is thet Nvidea rule-ATI sucks, AMD Athlon rules-Intel double sucks! I have a AMD Athlon 3500+ way better then my old Intel Pentium 4 2.20 GHz!

ME: "Yes, I would like to transfer my 401K over and invest it in Nvidia please. ALL OF IT !!!"

Now the real question. WTH is AMD going to do with it ?? Hopefully drop the ATI programming, and hopefully come out with something that CAN rival Nvidia.

The possibilities are mind numbing. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
