I have a question,

How can you get the Visual Flight Path to work?
I mean those Square rectanguels wich you also get in Flight lesson, you can probably also get them in a normal flight, but i don't know how.

Please help me out

Go to the menu, under "Aircraft" you will see "Visual Flight Path" you then need to enable it.

on top command bar in an active game:

1 the TEXT LABEL "Aircraft" (on the left side close to File) is the open /close togge

2. Open this Aircaft DROP WINDOW

3. On 2nd or third line select Visual FLight Aid (or path)

4. Open this selection.

5. This is where you set it up. SELECT NAV 1 as Signal Source.
NAV 1= ILS freq!

REMEMBER THAT!.

Make standby ILS for next stop. Just flip NAV 1 freq. and it will show ILS G. SLOPE path as visual aid for Airport ILS NAV 1 is set to. Within 26.5 miles of Localizer. That is the range.

6. SET altitude at 10,000 feet (point at which it is ~27 mile away and max altitude of slope(3 degrees is GS angle UP). It will start at 10K feet AGL as yo approach. AGL! NOT MSL!

7. Set this: "MAX # of GUIDES" & "MINIMUM DISTANCE" between guides.

8. CHOOSE TYPE of INDICATOR OR GUIDE: USE "YELLOW BRICK ROAD"

EASIEST TO FOLLOW & SEE at NIGHT. RED is HARD to SEE at distance.
NEED THIS SETUP FOR NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY & ILS TRAINING.

CHECK THAT BOX TO ENABLE THIS ACTION, APPLY, CLOSE.

IF I LEFT SOMETHING OUT TELL ME. I did this from my very few brain cells left. LOL

***
NAV 1 on Radio to ILS inbound Freq.
NAV 2 = VOR, set it for nav purposes,
ADF= NDB set it.
ALL RADIOS TUNED TO AIRPORT, THREE SIGNALS!

MAKE NAV PLAN.
SET ALL CONTROL SURFACES FOR LAUNCH.
SET UP RADIO AND GPS .
SWITCH ON Distance counter called Nav/Dme to NAV 2 is swtch to right. It will show you distance from or to next set radio ADF/NAV 2 VOR freq.
ILS is only good inside ~26 miles.
Outer marker at 4.4 miles,
Middle=3500',
Inner=1,000 feet from Localizer

Now SAVE FLIGHT use " ; " key or TOP COMMAND BAR. Helps speed up game. Lots but good stuff. Have fun.

JUST SAVE FLIGHT WITH PLANNER DONE BEFORE T/O! Name it
ILS GPS XXXX to XXXX B777 or something like that.

USE SELECT FLIGHT, in 4 minutes airborne when flight has been saved! FAST! Do all your favorite flights like this. You will be cruising!

Good Luck,
Tomcatdriver

I am surfing from my home during my lunch break (my employer discourages employess from using corporate computers for personal use). Therefore, I do not have time for a long answer.

When you are in the COCKPIT view, try depressing the "W" key which will remove some of the instruments. There are three different views by depressing the W key several times. Cool Cool

To see the inside of the aircraft:

1) The aircraft comes with several "cockpit views" which are available by either a) moving the POV or hat switch in the desired direction of view or b) with num/loc on, use the number pad keys to see the different views.

2) The aircraft has a 3d cabin rendered into the model which can be viewed by moving your view and/or eyepoint while in Virtual Cockpit view. Once again you can use both your POV/hat switch or the number pad to change your view as well as a number of keypress combinations to change your eyepoint, such as move toward the rear of the model.

More details are available in the FS Learning Center included within the game.

look at Attitude Direction Indicator: ADI, or PDI, (is technically an ADI.) on RT side of Artificial Horizon line is VERTICAL gauge with some horizontal marks.

IF TOO HIGH>INBOUND, then marker will be in the upper range of Sidebar. If too low, opposite.

MAKE SURE NAV 1 is on, GPS tracking is OFF!

NAV1 must be tuned to OBSERVED RWY ILS of choice for landing using this Vav aid.

As you fly into runway flight path, bar will center, watch that till touchdown on pavement. The marker will hold steady just below centerline. Fly path into full landing. Flare at correct moment.

Descent is ~600-800' per min. APPX~ consult flight manual. Outer marker is 4.4 miles out, MIDLE=3500', ; Inner: 1000'.

THIS ALL DEPENDS ON RUNWAT, WEATHER, Traffic congestion.
