Today when I was outdoors at work on a break, I watched an Air Canada jet roar by from Pearson International. As I walk up Orlando Drive to work every morning I catch gorgeous big airliners landing mostly, but sometimes the wind is coming from the East and they're taking off past me. (When they come in for landing as I reach the top of the street they're almost directly overhead of me...maybe 200 feet up. I can see the spirals on the spinners fluctuating with throttle input when I'm near the intersection of Orlando and Airport Road. Just wait 'til I get a nice digital camera. )
From work they're a little further away, but as I watched this Air Canada jet go by (A 757 or 777 I think) I saw what appeared to be a big, teal or turquoise, stylized eagle's wing or something similar on the side of the fuselage, somewhat obscured by the airplane's wing. I'm going to have a look around the internet to see what's up. Have a look yourself if this sort of thing floats your boat. Maybe I can come back with a link to a recent photo or something.

Yeah, I've had a look around too and come up short. I'll betcha this is so new there's no photos or descriptions yet. I see them every day and today is the first time for this eagle wing logo thing. I'll try to draw a facsimile later so you have an idea what I'm yapping about, then we can see how close I was when a photo does surface.

That's it!!
Darn, I should have looked harder, I hate it when someone finds something I didn't.
(Thanks RD!) What is that, a Boeing 757? 777?

| Thanks for the info & links...first time sighting for me. I'm not that great anymore at identifying airliners, my familiarity lies back in the days of the L1011, and I fondly remember taking family trips on DC - 9's and 10's. I have seen what must have been the Air Canada 777 come in at close range a number of times now. Looks like you could park a bus inside the engines, and the windows look so tiny on such a big jet. And I'll tell you now, that big bird comes in so slowly and gracefully that you are almost awestruck at its size , beauty and sheer awesomeness. Yes, I said awesomeness.
