I seem to remember from school days that it was "N" for number of turns, as in a rotational speed. So, really what it is... It's a % of maximum RPM of the primary or outter fan section of the engine. %RPM was introduced for display reasons in some avionics and FMS's. N2 is sort of the same but there...

Depends on the plane, if I remember correctly.
IE, Cessna 152 any autopilot locks out control inputs.
Lear Jet, you should still be able to turn with only ALT HOLD set.

I bought the Citation X and Lionhart's Epic aircraft. The Citation X is the fastest biz jet on the market right now, good range (trans-pacific) and it fly's well. The Epic is a all composite PT-6 turbine powered single prop, good range, and I have seen a few on the airport when at work and they look...

Unfortunately that screen shot is not what I was hoping to see, no matter though. It does show some useful information. The AOA indexer that it to the left hand side of the HUD, it's the one that is green in the upper portion. That needs to be lit up in the circle position that is in the middle. Wha...

It's an angled flight deck carrier. If you're looking for something more specific like the ship class, then I can't identify the carrier. And the lack of an identification number makes it even harder. Boat number doesn't matter, all U.S. Carriers are of the angled deck variety. It sounds like you a...

My suggestion seemed to die on the vine... Not for lack of trying to put something together, but a seemingly large amount of miscommunication.
I guess it could be revived if there is still interest in "local" flights?

The short answer is "it depends". During the flight, did you press the "D" key to sync the heading indicator gyro? GPS heading is not the same as aircraft heading in that the GPS is usually about the center of the airport, not near the runways. ATC will also usually put you on a 45 degree vector off...

BP, just change the settings for the Garmin to a RNAV/GPS runway and ignore the tower, works every time. Not very realistic, but effective none the less. You may try contacting to tower and asking for RNAV/GPS but I can't remember ever having be granted... Usually, a side step approach.

I have been watching it for years... It will come down to the wiring. Kapton is evil stuff over time. It doesn't matter how the airframe is made, the airframe is not failing without help, and that help could be the wiring. We don't own Airbus, the EU does, thus Barry can't take it over. Can't ground...
