Re: No panel gauges, followed the instructions
Hiya. My two cents worth on the last small question; As far as I know, FS cannot call up what is not within it's folder when it comes to gauges. If it's something that seems new to you, if it was not installed into the gauges folder by you, then it must already be there by default, or by luck from a...

Re: Speed brake question
Most excellent, it's a riot to tweak eh? (Especially when you finally get it right.
)
I do use the spoilers on airliners every so often on approach - just tap 'em on and off quickly for the desired effect, but it's a pretty mickey mouse method.

Thanks for the link, I've got to get that one then. Is airbrake and speedbrake and spoilers all the same thing?

The version of airED that I scooped lets you open up the .AIR files and explore and change most everything, and you get to save the changes. I haven't even had a look at a basic .cfg file to see where there might be spoiler effectiveness, etc. entries. I'm super-busy lately, but I'll look into it an...

I'd love to see some WASP video. I had a laugh at the one where you came off of flaps too fast during a vertical take off and bounced it off the runway with all the sparks. =D> 8) :lol: I want to make one with the WASP once I've got a decent PC, I've got the music picked out and it's storyboarded in...

Spent a few more nights noodling around and really only managed to beat this thing up a bit more - got a few more rips and tears and blasts onto 'er. Poor ol' thing, full of holes and scorched skin. :twisted: :twisted: I'm liking the way most everything looks, it looks pretty real on the runway and ...

RD - no dust for you - stick with the JD and ice cream for instant gratification, we need you sharp. :lol: :wink: Jaeg, good idea, I'll try to get extra creative with the packaging and representation. Maybe it'll lend a little authenticity to kind of label and illustrate the drive and weapons system...

If you don't have Steve Hinson's F-14 Tomcat, you should find it and get the latest revision version downloaded and flying. Guaranteed Tomcat heaven. Search and be sure to have RD's afterburners installed and get all the paints. Steve passed away several years ago and is sorely missed, there's a cus...

As usual, my flawless memory and fighter jet savvy has me calling an F-14 Tomcat an F-18. Yup, I was hoping for permission to try your F-14 reheat on the Hammerhawk, thanks bud - she's worthy. As for the shuttle, there's really just some folder cleanup and packaging to do on 'er, I'll fit it in shor...

I'll have to post a few glimpses of this thing soon then, I'm getting close to the lights/points/flight dynamics/packaging part of the project, the textures are finally done 'cept for a few tweaks. Took care of a few misaligned images and minor mistakes today and I'm on top of the few niggling model...

You should be able to find a freewae version of 'AIRed'. It allows you to go in and edit .AIR files and save the changes. Assuming there's no entry for spoiler effectiveness in the aircraft .cfg file, I would imagine there's an entry somewhere in that .AIR file. I'll pop in and have a look a little ...

Re: Re organize aircrafts
From what I understand you need to have the correct manufacturer name listed in the aircraft .cfg file found within your aircraft folder. If an add-on author frigs up the name or whatever, FS does not know to put your Cessna's with your Cessna's, it just looks for the manufacturer text entry in the ...

Wow, still working on this thing. Still texturing. Went nuts last night finally applying weathering galore in Photoshop. I'm limited in my Phoptoshop chops, I only know how to do certain things, but it seems to be going reasonably well. Is your add-on made for FSX? Sometimes it gets tricky when trying FS9 native aircraft, but there are often easy workarounds by the sounds ofit. Not an old gauge in your aircraft crashing FSX? (It's apparently another common problem, if the author's used older gauges in a panel used in FSX - crashara...

Holee, got deep into creating textures over the weekend, and every spare minute. Right on - finally all animations are done except the canopy, and that's a breeze. Ended up re-texturing the main gear, finally animated it properly.
