if your looking for good hosts.. I suggest you check out Servage. They are really good and they offer loads of features that can rival host monster. Plus, a really important thing is their service. Their support service is second to none! An average of around 20mins reply time, and they certainly kn...

try setting the frame rate limiter to around 25 fps. that way the cpu can work on the surroundings more rather than on getting better frames.

I have just had a play about with some settings after a couple hours of searching. I have Fast Writes Disabled and i dropped AGP from 8X back to 4X (for some reason it reset them again) and im getting really nice frames with high quality. I might try re-enabling fast writes and will see if it makes ...

thanks GDI, but this Dell system with thier customised 250W PSU will not hack the better AGP cards. Its getting older and so this is as top as i can go.

GS, do you have fast writes on or off?

Still Stuck with AGP here. My old 9600Pro is starting to get on my nerves. I want the candy so i sacrifice frames. Alas sometimes getting 7fps at a busy airport with lots of cloud does try my patience. But when i have the money i will get a better PC (time to get a proper job)

Have you updated to the latest drivers for your graphics cards, and another thing, turn AA off in FS. If you want to use AA, set it through the card control panel. Not in FS, it will kill frames. Also, it wouldnt cause harm if you set everything on minimum and see if it fixes the problem, then slowl...

but all those links certainly are helpful.

its normal. Its because at higher altitudes the air gets thinner. Im sure someone with more knowledge and isnt as tired will be able to tell you about it. But after FL290 (i think?) you switch over to mach. Look at the groundspeed as youl climb. You will notice it increase as you go higher as ther i...

can you physically move the sliders or are they grey? If you cant move the sliders it is because the fs9 userface is linked in with the windows visual style. It has to be the windows default userface in order to move the sliders. So if you have recently modded the visual style of windows, to change ...

That picture doesnt look normal. The plane is out of wack to the contrails. And high wind wont make a plane slide slip that much. Do a test and go to high altitude, look for the "slide slipping" then turn 90 degrees to the right, and look for it again. Then turn another 90degrees and try again. If y...

once engines have started and you have pushed from gate, normally the power and air supply is fed from the engines, the apu is then shut down as it is no longer needed. However i think its slightly different on the bigger aircraft like the 747s I think they leave the apu running to supply the aircon...

everything requires monitoring and micromanaging, but its is a lot simpler than having to do everything manually.

So it doesnt mean you can leave it for a month and expect no problems. But i would not know as i havnt used that one.

vacms is not payware if you use the basic version. Which basically means you have no support. So this means you have to install it by yourself using your noggin, or finding someone to help install it for you. However if you cant, it only costs £10 for the support from the creator. Oh and as for epir...

Many people start to see stuttering at around 12fps.. Normal Video runs at 24-25fps As a general rule, set you limiter to 25 as any more taxes the CPU more than it should.
