"Will I have to enable the approach feature on the autopilot in order to have the autoland work? What should I do as a prerequisite to enable the plane to autoland correctly?" Yes, you will enable APP on the AP, then Autoland. It will do everything for you although it is not as precise as the PMDG A...

Here is a nice freeware panel that I use instead of the default 737 panel.

You go to Avsim and do a search in the FS 2004 'Panels' for

Greg 737 Panel

Here it is. (737 ng panel)
You will have to buy the whole airplane though, and like GS said it is very reasonable considering everything..

This would be the order of preference for nforce boards.. 1) DFI 2) MSI 3) Asus 4) Abit 5) Gigabyte Also, I would replace that 300 watt PS with a decent 400 watt. 300 watts would be just barely enough for that system.. here's a calculator: http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/Power_Supply_Calcula...

I would suggest you definitely double the memory, 512 is not enough for FS9. I would spend another 30 or 40 bucks and get a better motherboard. this Foxconn is lacking CPU multiplier control needs to be in the BIOS. I don't like these dummied down BIOS programs. I'm not sure which case you are talki...

Thanks Max, I just looked at that again, and in my defense I do have 3 green lights on, but as to the flaps and the rest, I can only say that I must have been drinking something quite a bit stronger than tea when I decided to go for a ride that night......  Don't know how I even managed...

I agree with Max, I wouldn't touch a Dell with a bargepole. Or any other proprietary box either.. Find out from people on the forum which components are best for your application, and either build it or have it built to your exact specs.. I strongly recommend building it yourself; it's a good exerci...

as a minimum,

Price out a decent system, either an amd xp3200 or an intel p4 3+ghz system, get a gig of ram and plan on spending approximately $200.00 for a good video card.

Have it built or build it yourself...You could do it within your budget.

The question is: is there a benefit to adding another 512 megs of ram or is that a waste of money? There would be a quite noticeable benifit to doubling the memory... There still is McAfee spam control and Norton Virus running in the background, so maybe they are stealing clock ticks? Those two are...

Another thing you could try, is go into your direct X 9 sound config and set it to 'Basic Acceleration" if it is not there already. I've gotten out of similar problems this way.

Exxman is right about that slider I think, but just look around and try some different airplanes.
Most of the ones I've downloaded have cabin lights.

I think the one below is from Project Opensky

I agree completely with the peplies above. One more thing, Drive Letter C Volume Name : Danilio Type : Fixed File System : NTFS Total Space : 19.07 GB Free Space : 4.24 GB If you have FS9 installed to the C partition then you may be getting a bit crowded there. Once you get to only around 20% or les...

Right on, and they should all be hanging out there by the time you are about four miles from TD on a standard approach.

very good thread. You've got some great people here...

An ISO file is a file that contains an exact image of a CD Rom.

When burned as a disk image, a .ISO file is turned into a duplicate cd of the original cd.

your CD burning software should be able to do it. Look for instructions for burning 'image files'

Did you think of maybe building your own (it's not that difficult) or having a reputable system builder do it for you.
You would be into very nice machine for that money with none of the proprietary baggage that comes with a Dell or HP.

Turling, Lots of ways. You can create a flight, then check IFR then down below check 'VOR to VOR' Then under flight plan click 'Find Route' On that map just click any airport or VOR station to get information and frequencies. You can also go to 'World' Map View while you are flying and click on airp...
