Re: Be still my beating heart!

Unfortunately, there is no rest for the wicked. I'm still very busy at work trying to make sure my job is saved, no thanks to O-man. Take heart brothers because I am saving tax dollars. I keep people from wearing out the sidewalks and that saves tax dollars. I mean, how else are we going to fund the...

Be still my beating heart!

Today I heard a familiar sound. Something from my youthful memories stirred me to walk out in front of the shop and look up. There it was! In all it's leftover glory. An RF4-C Phantom II downwind on finals for a run at 18/36 Hurlburt Field. Of course it's been a long, long time since any Phantoms we...

Re: C-17 Reverse Thrust

"The C-17 is powered by four Pratt & Whitney F117-PW-100 turbofan engines, which are based on the commercial Pratt and Whitney PW2040 used on the Boeing 757. Each engine is fully reversible and rated at 40,400 lbf (180 kN) of thrust. The thrust reversers direct engine exhaust air upwards and forward...

Re: New forum version and layout

I like it. I don't have a problem with the search box location. Maybe a different background color for the search box would help with the contrast a bit. I understand keeping the graphics to the ends of the header box to allow for banners, ads, etc. in the center area. I like the idea of putting the...

It's simple. If you want to see some examples of my work, go to the downloads section (see links near top of this page) and use the search terms I suggested. I have already copied your livery image and aircraft list and will endeavor to paint one up and have it ready for your perusal within the next...

The key is patience. People sometimes get a little panicky and attempt to overcontrol the situation, which just gets them in more trouble.

You must UNcheck the Mipmaps/include when saving box before you save the modified texture back to the model.

Wilco is known for the quality of their realism. I'd start by following the checklist for preflight startup and then the checklist for takeoff.

Finally got a little time to view the forums and noticed this question. Sorry for taking too long to answer a simple query. Unfortunately, there is no direct "converter" for what you are wanting. It is just a matter of generating the correct model format for import to the FSDS. The process usually i...

Landing lights fail?!? Nowwwwwwwwwwww I've seen it all . . . hahahahaha.
Unfortunately I have FSX out of my machine at the moment. Maybe a look at the cfg lights section will tell us something. I don't know if the landing lights splash is part of the model in FSX as it is in FS9.

Are your controls centered? Go to spot view and actually pan around and look at your rudder and other control surfaces to make sure they are actually centered. They may have been inadvertently saved in an off center state.

It's not that you would get "widescreen" for fs2004, but rather that you would get your multiple monitor software set up and then resize fs2004's display to cover more than one monitor or set up the different views on their respective monitor positions . . . i.e. right view on right monitor, front v...

Or, you can take the plunge and use the special config developed to mimick a trap. What it does is change the brake parameters to create "super brakes". I believe the file name is something like arrcab. You can also get Flight Deck 4 or better. If you use arrcab, there is another file that has an ad...
