Doesn't terminology suck... Draw fan, pusher fan, suck fan, blow fan, intake fan, exhaust fan... A short simple way to remember it... If the heat source is below the fan, the fan is drawing/pulling air off the heat source. It is exhausting it into the surrounding air. Conductive/Convective cooling. ...

It happens all over...

On December 25 of 1996 there was JonBenét Ramsey. Probably one of the most televised cases of child murder in this country to date. And to date the killer has not been caught, but DNA from the low life SOB was captured. The irony is that the blame was automatically placed squarely on the parents, a...

Not sure what you are asking 121? Both RD and I are running 12GB of triple channel DDR3 RAM. I don't think there is a limitation on the triple channel usage either, it's based on how the mother board uses the memory (how many slots you have) triple channel comes in one GB sticks, so if you have thre...

That was the way I had it installed before but even though the data was there (and still is) it wasn't "installed" if that makes any sense. I made the mistake of blindly copying some of the data to the (X86) program file folder and it kinda got crapped up in the process. I guess I can just slap the ...

Sorry to leave you hanging for so long. I think I have a problem, and that is my unfamiliarity with the workings of FSX. If I reinstall the Dell IDE and OK OK I'll use the ribbon cable, I make it a slave... and then I will have access to all the data on the drive and will be able to boot into Win XP as well? IDE drive is from the Dell, it has all the data and Win XP on it already.

As far as the speakers go, I know I need an adapter, I'm just too lazy now to get one. I just plug in the single speaker lead to the heas set jack and it works.

A small update from me... I was able to OC the CPU to 4.0Ghz and it runs stable at that speed, but I didn't like the temps I was receiving so I backed it out. Forget all of the video cards. Who has the most hours behind the yoke? You are allowed to count actual flight time and simulator time. So far from what I have seen, the dynamics alone will make you drool and need a lobster bib. Much better! Now if I can only get the X-52 to work correctly with it... No profiles seem to be available, that might be a market to itself... a MSFS to X-Plane with all the or nearly the same buttons used...

GPS is the path, your instruments are your steering wheel/or stick as it were. If your heading indicator is off, your path will be off. GPS is independent of your heading indicator. You will notice shifts in path due to "gyro procession" even if it is not checked on and it will effect your flight pa...

No no no.... look again. The Skylane is fuel-injected (no carb heat). Well, you are quite correct... The listing in the Sim shows the engine as a Textron Lycoming IO-540-AB1A5, this is indeed fuel injected. With the "I" representing "injected". And like I said, everything was right to start. Have y...

That's really going to suck if you are flying pure manual or only instruments over long distance... Deviation over time can put you well off course, the saving grace... GPS, Oh yeah! Might want to check for, help me out here... Gyro procession? Something like that?

Re: Umm..... Skylane engine hard to start?

I got the Skylane down in one piece, even with crash tolerance on MAX! Had FS9 actually simulated a hard-to-start engine that had its own reasons for failing on climbout? I know one thing, you NEVER have to prime any engine on any plane to start it on FS9, not even in 10 degree weather. The engine ...
