Decided to go see what all the fuss was about and downloaded the Demo version. Is it me, or is it not as user friendly as MSFS, tried my hardest to get into a full screen mode, instead of trying to fly in a small window on one side of my screen. Scenery is almost non existant, a/c textures did not ...

Also, to swing the tail of the aircraft to the left... <shift> + P, then hit the number one (1) in the keyboard numbers, to swing right use number two (2). This would be as looking from the front of the airraft toward the tail. It takes a plane lenght before the turn in initiated.

Still installing... Up to disk 5.
I've been looking at the site and am anxious to get the update, but it needs to install first.

Are the majority of the Aircraft/Helo's payware for add-on's? That's all I seem to be seeing, granted I have never looked for anything before now.

I was in the wallmart today and the wife and i wandered past the game department. I went in for a look and there it was X-PLANE 9. I bought it and am installing now. I'm up to disk three of six, and I'm all giddy with anticipation.

If it's over Friday Harbor in Washington State, I believe this is the default.
You can change it by setting up a flight plan before you pick "fly now" or what ever it is.

Um, what were you thinking? That you could have a mediocre system and still keep the scenery and all other settings at MAX? Not going to happen, the simple answer is when you start loosing frames you need to adjust, and mostly into the lower settings. Tolerance of the resulting frames is what is up ...

This might work for you... Go into Decals/Patches and look for the multiple decal sheet. If not search the web for "Pratt-Whitney Eagle Logo"

If you bought this system off the shelf, chances are that it came with a 32 bit OS, OEM's are simply not going to spend the money on a 64 bit OS unless you requested it.

My system runs cool, at about 89 degrees Fahrenheit usually. Heat is a by-product of efficiency or more correctly, inefficiency. The less efficient any component is the more heat it gives off in relation to the power being provided to state it in the most basic and general of terms. Heat and ineffi...

The manufacturers web sites will usually have that type of information somewhere, if not a call to tech support may be able to get you the answer.

RD is correct, newer doesn't mean more power required. In fact with some components it's the opposite.

It seems like I am going to have to re-install all the games and add-ons I have for FS in any case first, unless I am misunderstanding something.
I was hoping to not have to do that but it looks like that's the least of my issues. I have no idea where the game books are for some of my stuff.

Futuremark Benchmarking software and ATi?

I've got an issue I can't resolve... I'm trying to benchmark a system. I can't give all the specs so bear with me... The important stuff is that I have a Q965 chipset, a E6400 Core 2 Duo and the basic on board graphic chipset for the board... That is not the issue. I am trying to run Futuremark's PC...
