You need to be able to connect to the internet with the Windows 7 computer you are using.

Use Windows Update instead, it should find the drivers for you quickly.

I have to say that the Project Opensky 737 has better flight dynamics...
But I don't think they have a VC.

Well, that makes sense. Installing programs would definitely create new registry entries. What I didn't know was how merely creating a new Word document created an entry. That's what I was thinking. Oh, and back to the original post. Registry does not really have anything to do with the Operating S...

Re: start up problem.

oh ok. so then you think a clean registry is a good registry? Think of it this way... EVERY single thing you install to your computer creates a registry entry. New word document template, new registry entry. It's the same with the aircraft downloads, all the MDL files, panels, gauges, sound f...

Boldpilot's kid is dead on, to a degree. FS9 does not understand dual core nor SLI setups. If anything, I would take out one of your G-Cards, and see what happens. More than likely, it will improve. RD FS9 uses only one core on the processor. FS9 does not use SLI to it's FULL advantage. He could si...

I don't know the absolute answer to your question, thus I can't offer any real help beyond "play with the settings". Actually
For your Dell, it should be fairly easy. You just need an optical drive with a properly sized bezel, and it should work.

The power is fed through the data cable in a Laptop drive, so a loose cable couldn't possibly explain it.

Seems like it's bust, replacements for it are quite expensive, unless you do decide to go external.

It's not so much the size of the RAM that's the bottleneck, it's more the speed/timings.

But since you already run FS well, I don't see the need.

The Opteron is better than your current, as it is dual core.

It will not compare as much up to the current Intel C2D/C2Q's.

Some of your components will be bottleneck, such as the RAM.

Between those two, I would say it is your choice. The Seasonic gives you 30 watts more headroom than the Corsair, and the Corsair gives you more flexibility in wire management. Both are very reputable brands. I am assuming you live in the United States? If so, we are getting the prices off http://ww...
