Mack Air, Cruising Your Virtual Skies

Mack Air is about having fun flying, whilst incorporating a level of realism into it. We incorporate the Automatic Pirep logging System that is Virtual Airline Financials as well as the Optional use of Vatsim to make Mack Air is Realistic yet Laidback and stress free.

We have three major hubs throughout Europe, Bristol, Bordeaux and Barcelona. Out of these hubs we fly CRJ-700s, A321-200s, 747-400s and 737-800s. This allows for a comprehensive flight schedule of short and medium haul flights throughout Europe and the Mediterranean as well as long haul flights to destinations such as Princess Juliana and Toronto.

We are different to many Virtual Airlines in the respect that we allow pilots to Fly offline and still log the hours using the Virtual Airline Financial System Client software, this allows members of the community who cannot fly online all the time or at all to still participate in the Virtual Airline community. Also we encourage you Vatsim for online flights as it is extremely realistic and has high quality Air Traffic Controllers.

We also have two separate Flight Simulator Game servers as well as a Teamspeak server, so why not drop by and meet the folks.

Game Server (ATC): 82.16.104.99 with port 23453

Game Server (Free Flight): 82.16.104.99 with port 23452

TeamSpeak Server: 82.16.104.99:8767

Congratulations on your startup. Despite the disclaimer on your web page, expect to be contacted at least once by somebody who thinks it's a real airline. We were contacted twice through our employment link over at Bluestream. Once about a job, and once about scheduling info for some travel magazine...

GS, wouldn't be bad if it was a female flight attendant looking for work..."Um yeah, we need 3 pictures, one in your old uniform, one in a bikini...one in, um...."

I'll have to see if I can find a PG rated pic of the old Air Fresno flight attendant. We could only use her on "wide body" aircraft, if you get my meaning. And no I'm not meaning she was fat. :(

I found it, I think I would be banned if I posted it though. So here's one a little better. I think the colors are about right too.

Image

But what gets me isn't the flight attendants so much as the ground maintenence crews. Here we see routine maintenence on an Airbus by one of Duncans c r a c k A&P mechanics.

Just messing with ya mate, you know I appreciate you. :) Best of wishes for Mack Air

Dunc,

I know we talked a little about an aircraft I would do for you, and I wanted to pass this one by you.

I've been testing the Erick Cantu Embraer EMB-120 as you know, I find it far better than the Botamer/Chin version I use. The paint kit is extrememly nice, and I worked up this scheme for a one-off for Mack Air.

Image

Now, I know you don't currently use the Embraer, but think about it and I'll put this on the plane for you, should only take a couple of hours. I would need a registration (or not if you want to make it a generic aircraft). It won't be the tinted chrome we were talking about, it would be as it appears, and I need to work on the flag fade a little bit.

Let me know, I'll put it together for you.

Dunc, hit me with text in your AM, I know it's almost 10PM there on a school night so I'll be here off and on tonight my time. I'll be up late tonight so try me before school.

The Cantu Embraer has the tail attached to the aft fuselage on the texture files, so this was easy. I've looked at your Dash and it's the same way. if you can find me a white paintkit for it it would be no problem, it would take a day or so. For an aircraft witht he tail as a seperate texture file it would be a serious PITA to get this lined up and scaled properly.

My original intention was to do a series of 3 aircraft, one with a Union Jack tail, one with a French tail and one with a Spanish tail, I need to check and see if I have similar flags for each one.

Here's some more shots of the Embraer...

Image

Image

Please note the position of the First Officers head in this one; while the aircraft is flying he is animated and continually looks around the cockpit and out the right side of the aircraft...

This scheme is going to be applied to Mack's Dash once we get a proper paint kit. I may do a flag Embraer for myself in the very near future.

Not to be the bearer of condemnation. But can you two do this thru PM's, as for the details, and not here.

Otherwise, it does look nice, good job.

This was my first attempt at using multiple layers with Photo Explosion Platinum. I haven't done much work with 24 bit textures but this worked out well. I did the flag over lay in 256 color then went back and airbrushed the waves back into it. A lot of work and I know there was an easier way...I'll find it eventually.

Hey Pete, got any info for Photo Explosion Platinum. The pic looks great, and I am too lazy at the moment, to google it. 8)

How well does it stack up to Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro ??
