Best Payware of your choice

Post by mel wilson » Sun Jan 03, 2010 5:11 pm

Ok, I'm in the mood to splash some cash on a Payware Aircraft, i'm not too fussed on the model or type, it can be an Airliner, Small 4 seater or even Military, but i'm not too keen on spending on a Helo, unless it's exceptional......... Now, this is where you come in, if you have prefrences, then I would like your input, and it would be nice if you have already purchased it..... (but not essential).

Lets see what you can come up with.

For the fun factor and pure detail, you can't beat Carenado's products.
Gravity ... it's an Earth thing.

Still waiting on these guys to finish their end of a project, before I can start on mine.

But they do have some really good looking stuff. Otherwise, Alphasim is one of my favs.

I bought the Citation X and Lionhart's Epic aircraft.
The Citation X is the fastest biz jet on the market right now, good range (trans-pacific) and it fly's well.
The Epic is a all composite PT-6 turbine powered single prop, good range, and I have seen a few on the airport when at work and they look nice.

Thanks for your input guys, I looked at all three suggestions over and over again, and as you can see I took my time on the final decision, military would normally have been my first thought, but light civil or even commercial would have been fine, but for sheer detail, and realism of handling, I finally opted for John’s Carenado option, so, out of their fleet, I chose the C172N Skyhawk II.

Apart from a small glitch in installing into FS9, I can honestly say I am over the moon with the final choice, detail is awesome, flight handling is brilliant, in fact the aircraft looks good from any angle, and so far I cannot fault it. It’s worth all the $26.95

I didn’t know of Carenado, so I am grateful to John in bringing them to my notice.

Thanks again guys for your input…… Enjoy the pics.

I highly recommend the aircraft from the Middle Atlantic Air Museum. I have all of their aircraft and have had the opportunity to personally talk to the main designer at their annual WWII show. 8) 8)

Mel, it is a bot. Deal with him accordingly.

I'd let Hark do it, but he doesn't clean up after himself. 8)
