Any other Navigation Tool apart from FS Nav 4.6

Post by nrkazmi » Sun Oct 03, 2004 10:50 am

I had no problems using FS Navigator 4.6 with FS 2002 but the software is giving problem with FS 2004. When I try to create scenerey database, the computer hangs after a while. Tried uninstall and reinstall but the *beep* thing is not working with FS 2004.
Therefore do you guys know any other navigation tool which can easily be used with FS 2004 apart from FS Navigator 4.6.

When I set mine up, the "build database" took what seemed to be forever. As I recall it was about 10 to 15 minutes before it finished.

4.6 is the latest version of FSNavigator. See info. at www.fsnavigator.com for details.

@Maxell: The squirrel is not dead, just going into the shop for overhaul. The new avatar represents my status as an instructor for FSDUonline.

I know that FS Nav 4.6 takes lot of time, but as I said earlier, mine "hangs" after 20 minutes. This happens every time. Therefore tell me about any other software which can be tried easily with FS 2004.

Try......

Try searching for other flightplanner or courseplanner programs, but the main reason we use FSNavigator is the multiplayer feature that allows us to monitor each others' positions as well as share/download flightplans. Sorry I couldnt be of more assistance.

Also, have you tried shutting down other programs that may be running in the background taking up system resources while FSNav is compiling? If you dont have plenty of RAM this may be an issue. By plenty, I mean 512meg or more.
