Okay...

First of all, you are at the 'low end' of the spectrum for running FS9. It's going to take your PC a looooong time to do anything with it.

Secondly, how long do you wait (in seconds and minutes please) before you actually make the call as to when the PC freezes?

You can get rid of some of the processess running on your system. Don't need a lot of them. Get FSAutostart at http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... DLID=53057. Use it to get rid of the programs you don't need. Then try booting up FS again. Try to install FS on a drive other than your Windows drive. Makes it easier to run.

Shout back if none of this works...and thanks for putting up the info...

I would suggest a clean boot and see if you can play the game. If it works, I would suggest that you play FS 2004 each time with a clean boot and then revert to normal boot for your office work. For more info on how to clean boot for playing FS 2004, check out this link.

Here you go. Gotta put the www. in the url. Also, I had to remove the bold and underline tags. They appeared to intefere. Perhaps that was the problem, and not the lackof the www. Anway. The link is now clickable.

I agree completely with the peplies above.

One more thing,

Drive Letter C
Volume Name : Danilio
Type : Fixed
File System : NTFS
Total Space : 19.07 GB
Free Space : 4.24 GB

If you have FS9 installed to the C partition then you may be getting a bit crowded there.

Once you get to only around 20% or less free space on a volume things can slow down to a crawl.
You will have difficulty defragging also because the defragger needs space to rearrange the file fragments.

Next time install it to your D drive and see if that makes a difference.

one more thing.
Take a look at Black Viper's site:
This will help you to get rid of XP services that you don't need running.

Stick with the 'SAFE' config and you should be fine.
