MSFS 10 vs X-Plane?

Post by Fredashay » Sat Sep 22, 2012 11:17 pm

I want to buy a flight simulator, but am not sure which one to get.

I've heard that X-Plane is a more accurate and realistic simulator, but MSFS has more detailed scenery and higher res graphics?

FWIW, I have a 2.7 GHz dual processor CPU wth 4 GB of ram running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hi, welcome to Surclaro.

I can't comment on X-Plane as I don't have it myself, but I think one or two others on here might, so they will be able to give you a true comparison, just sit tight and watch this space.

On basics your machine sound capable of running FSX but slightly toned down, you may have to reduce a few things in order for the Sim to run smoothly

I've got both of them. My suggestion would be to get " FSX Gold ", with Acceleration already there. X-Plane 10 is good, but not as enjoyable flying as FSX is.

My 2 cents.

PS: I've had X-Plane since 5.0. :)
