Probably wouldn't have made the news much if she wasn't a stylist for the supposedly 'hit' tv show 'Gossip Girl'. Never watched it myself, so couldn't tell you much about it without digging something up from the interwebs.
A source on the BBC article did mention that she had been drinking, but the extent of her 'intoxication' wasn't apparent. It's a shame, but a hard lesson learnt!

This is a very sad story that has everybody's attention in the aviation world. Without knowing all of the facts, here are a few of my comments:

The pilot should never have allowed her to exit the aircraft while the engine was still running. This is a definite NO NO.

If the pilot restarted the aircraft after she departed, he was very careless not to look for anybody in the area of the aircraft at startup.

Standard procedure before starting an engine is to look in all directions and then yell "CLEAR PROP" before startup.

I always instruct the aircrews to never walk in front of an aircraft whenever they approach or depart from the aircraft.
I AM NOT A PILOT. I JUST LOVE AVIATION.
