Eastern Carolinas

Post by William R. Denny » Sun Feb 20, 2011 12:14 am

Hi,
Started flight training this week, out of KEWN in east North Carolina. Was wondering if anyone could suggest scenery for that area that I could use to familiarize myself with the terrain. Surely VFR navigation is coming up soon and it'd be helpful to already have a leg up on the situation. I was looking at Ultimate Terrain, and the screenshots on the Flight1 website make it look like that updates elevation features like mountains and whatnot and not so much the actual ground features like roads, neighborhoods, major buildings, things of that nature, am I wrong and Ultimate Terrain is what I'm looking for, or is there another company with a product more suited for what I need.

Also, bought the Flight1 172R, and it's awesome, just saying.

P.S.
I should probably mention that I am still using FS2004. Computer is still not quite up to FSX.

I am always happy to hear about someone who has decided to get off their their desk chair to take flight lessons.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR LESSONS.

I strongly suggest that you purchase an ANR headset. Since I want to protect my hearing, I will not fly without ANR.
I AM NOT A PILOT. I JUST LOVE AVIATION.
