How to make FS2004 Meshes less...flat.

Post by barihawk » Thu Jan 11, 2007 3:28 pm

I used to have an addon that was worldwide mesh (one file, I think). It wasn't super duper detailed, but it at least was an improvement.

Does anyone know of any decent mesh upgrades (free, please) that cover the entire world in as few files as possible?

Dont know about a single file download, but you could check out fsgenesis, I have used their product and find it to be quite excellent. To get the benefit of what mesh detail FS does have you should change the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL= to 20 in your Fs9.cfg file. Those who use 19meter terrain and better can change it to 21. But be aware that when crossing into 38meter terrain area you can have some strange side effects as interpolation begins to occur. Using 20 works across the broadest number of applications.
Gravity ... it's an Earth thing.
