What does everybody think about this one?

Post by SU37Berkut » Thu Nov 22, 2007 4:23 pm

Dear Forum Members,

I was messing around changing up effects and adding new ones, when I stumbled on this one.

What does everybody think about it? Do you like it? Please let me know as I intend to upload it to Surclaro if you all like it.

Cheers,
SU37Berkut

I mean the effect, not the screenshot.

Thank you Viche12345.

I just want to make sure that the BSG Viper model I put it on is not copyright before I upload it.

Cheers!

Only upload the effect. Do not upload it with the a/c (aircraft) unless you have permission from the author/developer.

Actually, I meant the BSG Viper with the effect.

The effect is from FSX, it was already on there, dont ask me why.

All I did was add it to the plane. I wanted to add the plane with the effect.

Cheers!

Are you aware of the distribution restrictions the author has set? Some developers don't even allow modification of their works. Some are even nice enough to allow altered models to be uploaded to the web.

Reread my post.

Just upload the effect. Unless you have permission from the author, do not upload the a/c with it. Simple as that.

I'm saying, the effect is already on FSX, and I only want people who legally bought FSX to have access to this effect. All I did was add it to the BSG Viper. Aces Studios made the effect.

Cheers!
SU37Berkut

P.S., I really dont want ANY legal issues.

Make up your mind please. Did you alter a default effect or not. First you said you did, now your saying it is default FSX. Which is it???

Dear RD,

Sorry if I confused anyone, I did not mean to.

Like I said, I was editting effects, when I stumbled on this one.
I never said I editted this particular effect. This effect is straight from FSX.
All I did was add it to the BSG Viper.

Sorry about the mix-up.

Cheers!
SU37Berkut

P.S., The effect is called UFO exhaust, don't ask me why it has it as there is NO UFO that I have ever seen on FSX and I don't have Acceleration.

Then just put the title up of the effect. fx_????????

That will take care of any problems, and you won't be doing anything illegal.

If you want to share this with the public, I suggest uploading the necessary effect files and instructions on adding the effect to the desired model. If the model's developer allows it, you may even upload the entire model with the new effect.

I hate legal issues. I may be wrong so wait for additional approval before continuing lol....

Dear Forum Members,

Thank you for all of your input, I think I'll just post insrutuctions on how to add the effect and the effect.fx title.

Thanks you all,
SU37Berkut

P.S. To RD, go ahead, but I think it will be at your expense. Dear is a very polite way to address a message.

Dear Cat1,

Perhaps I am, but, even if you did say something rediculous about me putting dear in the begining of my posts, I believe it would make you look rather silly, don't you?

I may be wrong, but Dear is indeed a good way to start a post. (and the most polite)

We are called Drill Instructors. The only thing a drill sargeant is good for is fire drills at your school. And they *beep* that up.

And don't you ever call me sir, I work for a freakin' living. I keep the economy afloat, our borders safe, squids in line on their own boat, while your sitting at your desk at home, thinking what on earth am I doing here.

And yes, this is from my meek, mild mannered side. 8)

Dear RD,

By what title shall I address you if you are not sir?

Also, are you calling the Navy squids? 8O
If you are, I'll have to tell Cat1 to come give you a talking to.
My Grandfather was a Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, therefore, I don't like you calling them squids if that is who you mean.

Cheers!

Hey Cat1, I'm homeschooled, the only girls in my school are my sisters!

I don't appreciate being called a liar.

Why do they call the Navy men Squids?

Well, now I understand a bit more. My most humble apologies!
That might have been good information to have about oh... 15 minutes ago.
I will certainly take a different tone with you from now on. And I am sorry for the implication, I meant no harm.
And now I understand why you are so polite.

YUCK.....EEEEEEWWW............BARF.....

Sorry about that SU37.  I know I wouldn't want to know what my sister is wearing, or not wearing either. Much less dream about it. :D

My deepest apologies for the comment. I have taken it out of my previous post, and edited the other.

Actually, I am a bit surprised you didn't rip me a new one for making that comment. You would have been in the right to do so. Next time, if you feel that I or anybody else has it wrong, or just plain got it stupid, then by all means, let the person(s) know.

RD

EDIT: Sorry, but I cannot change the quote. But I did change mine. If it really matters. Hey Cat, can you edit your post with my quote in it..Please.
