FS9 / X Afterburner by RD

Post by dirtybird » Tue Sep 20, 2011 9:34 pm

Mainly directed at RD....

http://www.surclaro.com/fsdownload-detail-17215.html

I downloaded, and tried to install this effect, and a smaller one that you gave me in FSX. While they DO show up when you turn the lights on, the burners will not turn OFF when you are at idle.

could you shed some light on this problem?

in the aircraft .cfg I have the following:

[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 3, -0.3, -15.65, -0.5, fx_navred,
light.1 = 3, -0.3, 15.65, -0.5, fx_navgre,
light.2 = 3, -13.5, 0.80, 1.10, fx_navwhi,
light.3 = 2, 3.60, 0.00, 4.00, fx_strobe_t45,
light.4 = 1, 1.1, 0.00, 3.6, fx_beacon_t45,
light.5 = 1, 8.55, 0.00, -2.20, fx_beacon_t45,
light.7 = 10, 13.2, 0.0, 1.6, fx_t45_vclight,
light.8 = 10, 7.5, 0.0, 3.5, fx_t45_vclight,
light.9 = 6, -18.0, 0.0, 2.4, AB FullStageSm,
light.10 = 6, -18.0, 0.0, 1.8, AB CONESm

Yes I did put the * gauge01=rcb-gauges!F14EffectControl, 0,0 * in the Panel.cfg and give it the next sequential number.

again, the effect is suppose to turn on ~85% N1, and turn off around the same point..... but stays on constant no matter what.

I've found that if you hit the F5 key in FSX, this will change the control back to normal. If not, let me know.

I knew you would be the person to know being that you made it, but also just the person that you are. Thank you, F5 was the trick. Works perfect now just like it should..... well, sort of. I remember in FS9 how you have to go into the 2D cockpit and cycle the lights to get effects to work right, so when i did that, then it worked like it should.

thank you so much.

Good stuff. I'll always stand behind what I put out. As well, know how to fix things if they go south (usually :) ).

i dont know if I had made mention last time I was here, but Had a little boy... who is now 4, and in Pre-K (K4). ...... got Married on November 14, 2010 (my condolences to me - lol) ummmm, still working at the same crappy *beep* Construction job, and looking for a new job..

Pretty much flying FSX only now, although I do still have FS9 (for testing and Carrier / Trap cause FSX doesnt have that great of a Carrier Scenery / COP3 ready Planes unless you get Accelleration - which i do not have). Have all ORBX sceneries minus 1 small airport (1WA6 - Fall City).

ummmmmmmmmm bugging the crap outta the guys over at SimV. Hovercontrol (which I am a certified pilot with), USVAF "United States Virtual Air Forces" - Headquarters / Director of Plans and Operations.

screaming at my 4 yr old every day cause he doesnt want to listen...... other than all this, its the same routine... Get up at 630a, Little man to school by 7:05a, Work from 730-4, come home and spend time with little man, wife, and fly.
