FSX VIDEO'S

Post by rd » Sun Mar 18, 2012 9:36 pm

Here you can post up a link to your videos of FSX flights. The only rules are,........ well, there are not any, except that you try to make them the best you can.

WARNING.... Anything linked not flightsim related will be deleted. Anything improper will be deleted, with a very real possibility of the person being banned, forever.

OK then, lets see these video's.

If you need help with making a video, post it in the general forum. I use FRAPS for my recording, and Sony Vegas Platinum 11HD for making movies.

I am going to stick my neck out here with a video of a landing I did with the 757-200 AKA Freemium. It is old school instrument panel. It does come with all the sounds you hear. I downloaded from Just Flight and I would buy from them if they put out planes like this. I am still getting used to the approach with this plane. It does tend to want to float on you and will make you want to relax your pull on the stick at that point it will come to bite you hard. After I don't know how many attempts I decided to start recording. This is direct record with fraps during the flight so all call outs are there.

This landing at KFLG in Flagstaff Az. Short runway for this plane flaps full this plane with full flaps wants to float, I flying a sim was nervous trying this and after seeing the play back a few times I turned my control rates way down now. Over controlling and my dad told me to quit tap dancing on the rudder pedals. I had the plane in constant state of yaw. But like I said I was nervous as all get out even though my butt was not on the line.
Oh and before I forget, with most planes you can hit B key to set altimeter not with this plane B key set to default 29.92 and is why at beginning of video you see altimeter expanded.
I recorded this with FS Recorder and then recorded playback with Fraps is why no altitude call outs. Yea this is kind of embarrassing with all the over controlling, but hard to tell what the plane is doing sometimes when you can't feel it when it happens.

Aerosoft Sharm El-Sheikh 2012 Video

Just a video I made. I tried out some new effects like masking out some parts of the video to make it looks cool as well as the twitch and many other transitions. Please tell me how it looks !

Checked out this video, and the others you created. Very, very nice.

Don't be surprised if I start picking your brains for what you are using to make the captures, and effects. I have Sony Vegas 10 and 11, but not pro.

Made a video of Carrier Ops with the F4 Phantom. Do notice, that most were on the new Enterprise, which is a moving Aircraft Carrier.

Finally done with my new nuke run over North Korea. Have to say, it took 6 days to do it. Flying, editing, flying again, editing, etc. Then to cut it down from 14 minutes, down to a (hopefully) respectful 8 minutes.
